Project Highlights
The Saudi Royal Aviation has launched a program to upgrade the existing hangars facilities at the International Airport in Riyadh to implement the needed actions to comply with the current codes besides the compliance with the 2030 Agenda to allow the activities related to Maintenance, Repair, and Operations of the SRA fleet.
AES was awarded the Design and PMC Services to develop the project Master Plan.
The project elements are composed of:
The Design and Tender Packages Preparation Scope of Services include the provision of providing Design for all upgrade components and packages, including the Hangar, Airside, and Landside facilities upgrades, including all civil, architectural, structural, special airport systems, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing works as. The significant elements of services for the Design Package include, but not limited to, the following:
- Design Layouts and Drawings.
- Technical Specifications.
- Bill of Quantities.
- Tender Documents.
PMC Services
- Developing an overall Project Management Plan, Execution Plan, and Program Master Schedule.
- Preparing Schematic Designs and Tender Packages for each package included within the Upgrade program.
- Completing the Pre-qualification of the vendors and contractors considered for each package, shortlisting the vendors and contractors, and issues, in coordination with SRA’s procurement department, the Tender
- Documents to each respective Vendor / Contractor.
- Coordination with Contractor(s) on mobilization, schedule, and all post-award required documentation.
- Review of Contractor Designs.
- Site supervision of Contractor works.
- Material submittal review.
- Change Order management.
- Testing and commissioning management services.
- Project Close Out, Asset certification, and handover of completed works to operators.
